Look at that, shouldn't life just be this simple all the time?

Isn't it funny how you can be faced with the mortality of those around you, and yet still, the one thing that keeps me up at night is the one thing that everyone says shouldn't matter.

M-O-N-E-Y

Yup, Money. You never have enough to cover what you need, or a guess more likely, what we THINK we need. After Christmas we look at the bills, and I don't for a second regret spending on everyone, but I sure wish I had a way to blink and make the bills go away. Even now as I type this I'm watching Sweet Home Alabama, and wishing I had her clothes!

Good lord, I need another job......

Bad News

So had some bad news on thursday. Nicole Robertson, a former fellow spotlight dancer was killed a few weeks ago in Australia. Car accident. It threw me for a loop. She was a beautiful person, always smiling. It's very sad. I'm so sorry for her family.

Throwing stuff

Thats what I feel like doing.... I am in my grade 9 class right now, though you would think they are in grade 2. In fact, they are asking if they drive me nuts... and I have told them that they do. You know it is a bad situation when kids in the class are telling others to SHUT IT. Oh man December is great all over the place, except in a school. The kids are crazy and the teachers are tired.... so tired. I need Christmas.

Well, here I am Blogging while my students are writing....... Bad me ;) Ah well it's gotta be done.
Gotta say: Thom, the second I make money of "suck it up princess" you'll get your royalties :)

Can't belive how close it's getting to Christmas. Boy does a year fly by. In that year we have moved, both started new jobs, moved AGAIN. I guess this is a time to reflect on how lucky we are.

Well I suppose I should pay attention to my class, they're so good I don't even need to be in the room.

I'm a bad blogger

Well, my laptop is fried so now i have to use hubby's computer which DOESNT help my blogger laziness. Oh well what do you do right? Heading up to Whistler this weekend. Lots of snow, should be fun :) As a write this i hear the shuffling of little paws... Austen is INSIDE jons photography curtain (thank god hes not home) What a brat, But you gotta love him. Just waiting for jon to get home so we can watch Gray's Anatomy. I love our PVR, my TV is on pause so i can watch it with Jon! YAY!

well it's end of term at school and as any teacher knows, that sucks. AND i have to finish my portfolio for my course that is due in a week, and i have no computer. Oh well, i say it to my students.. suck it up princess........

POTP

Went to a crop tonight. Didn't scrap but I got to meet so many of the women that are online at Pick of the Patch!!! It was so cool to meet them in person! Most of us are going to Bellvue for a scrapbook convention in November.. I'm looking forward to it even more now!!!!

One Night

Well, finally a night alone with Jon and not only does it take him 2 hours to get home but he's gone to bed sick. It's not his fault, I know he feels bad, but it sucks.

On the other side of things. I love my cats. Its a strange fascination I have with these boys. Those of you that are dog people always use the excuse that "cats don't come running to the door to greet you when you get home" Come to my house for one day. My boys are the most loving animals I have ever had contact with. I know most people think its a little odd, but hey I don't have kids yet! They're my boys!

On yet another hand I am so excited to go scrapping at Jenn's house on Sunday. Pick of the Patch is having an online crop, it's going to be a great time! I haven't yet MET Jenn, but from all of her work I have seen I cannot wait to scrap with her!

Too tired to sleep

Here I am at 1 am. Jon is in our cozy bed, and I cannot for the life of me fall asleep. At least Austen is here staring at me. There is life at this time of night. So many things running through my mind. Most of all, the house. When will it be DONE I want my bed back. I want my stuff and a place to put it all. I want my cats settled. I want ME settled. I'm so worried about movers! Who will be around if we do have to move in on september long weekend! Everyone is away, and we can't do it alone, I will keel over. Anyone have a cousin looking for some extra activity? So I'm sure many of you will not understand this rant. We are building our first house. Its pretty. I love it. But it's not done yet :( Well I suppose I should try for some sleep.

Frustration

How many of you have ever felt that you have an enormous mental block that expands as the seconds tick by? this is how I have been feeling these last few days. I have so much I want to do with my wedding scrapbook, but the more I see other people's work the more I feel that I can't do it! I see the work that friends like Danielle do and i just feel.... well stuck! I hope to get past this soon as I seem to just accumulate more and more stuff and can't do anything with it!

Ok, A new feel for the Blog

Well, sadly the wedding excitement thing is kinda done. I've decided to change the feel of the blog. Its going to be a little more journal-y. (yes I know thats not a word) I want to post some scrapbooking I've done as well as just random thoughts and ideas. check out my links to the side. Especially hubby's site, Jonathan Dean photography.
